W.I.T

                                                       ]WIT
         I'm finished:)!!!

For my wit we did a slideshow. Our wit was based on identifying invertebrates in the Frankley School Bush.Aimee and Zalia were in my group. Our task was to make a child-friendly resource. We made up to 26
slides at least so that our target group could observe and be taken to a number of possible links.  They thought that it was pretty cool.I thought our group did very good.Sometimes my group would be away and so I had to work by myself but that was fine, as I am an independent learner and followed comments from the teachers.

Cross Country

Cross- country
Training
the one thing I liked about training for cross country is that we had a option to go around a set up track in school grounds or run up the hill to the cemetery bench. Both tracks were about the same length. I think running up the hill was more challenging.

Cross country Day
For cross country we had option's I choose the fun run because I don't like running a lot so the fun run was the best choice for me. Me and Zalia ran together

Finishing the race
When I finished I felt happy and sad because I have never had a cross country without my mum I don't know what I placed but I don't really care

My Goal
My goal for next year is to  my hardest and push my self

Where we are up to in WIT

Were we are up to in W.I.T

We have finished W.I.T (yayyy) here it is

Here is our email and feed back that Nathan sent us.

Hi Ashley, Aimee and Zalia,

Gee that s big presentation with lots of information.
I think the best way to test out your invertebrate identifying resource is to test it on some 6-7 year olds. Maybe some students from school in another class.

I have had a look through and just have a few content suggestions before you test it out:

Slide 3: Remove the sentence:  ‘Does this insect have… “   in this slide only 1 of the 4 creepy crawlies/invertebrates  is an insect. Remember Insects only have 6 legs.
Slide 8: Change the wording from ‘An arthropod is an insect’ …to   ‘An insect is an Arthropod’          it only involves changing 2 words around.

Good luck young entomologists J

Invertebrate writing

we have been writing about Invertebrates(insects)  in Tuhono & I would like to show you my finished and published writing about a ladybug.  I hope you enjoy my writing

A Ladybug’s Amazing LifeFree vector graphic: Ladybug, Lady, Bug, Insect, Dots - Free Image ...

Ladybugs use their bright colours to warn that they are poisonous and that they are toxic.  Insect-eating birds and other animals learn to avoid meals that come in red and black, and are more likely to steer clear of a ladybug lunch.  This is just one of their adaptations that help them survive.  Read on to find out more...

Habitat
Lady bugs live in variety of habitats, including forest, fields, grassland , gardens, bushes  and even people's house they also like to live in frankley school bush. They also like to live on leaves that are close to heaps of aphids.Free photo: Macro, Ladybugs, Ladybug, Bugs - Free Image on Pixabay ...

Predators
Ladybugs are not commonly eaten by birds or other vertebrates, who avoid them because they exude a distasteful fluid and commonly play dead to avoid being preyed upon. However, several insects, such as assassin bugs and stink bugs, as well as spiders and toads may commonly kill lady beetles

Protection
Ladybugs have many interesting means of protection. Their red, orange, and black coloration warns birds that they would not make a very tasty meal.  Birds learn that insects that are red, black, and yellow usually sting or taste bad.
